PROJECTS
Kaleidowall (2016)
Collaborated with professional artist John Fleming to create a public art piece, "Kaleidowall," on display at Bellevue City Hall.
From drawing my first stick figure and crayon gradient to learning still life and gouache painting, art has always been a major part of my life. I love all types of art: painting, photography, digital art, graphic design, sketching, and more. I think it is simply amazing how a single brush stroke can evoke any emotion, tell a story, or project your wildest hopes and dreams.
But I was never satisfied with simply sticking to traditional art media—my ambitious, inquisitive heart wanted more.
At six years old, I began to create with Microsoft PowerPoint, making interactive, digital artworks with all the fascinating transitions, animations, and other tricks I discovered. As time went on, I built a paper city, grew a black ink forest, and wove a magic carpet. In seventh grade, I found Polyvore (2007 - 2018), a community social network where members shared designs made from products and images called "sets.” Polyvore allowed me to connect and create with millions of people across the globe who shared my zeal for art and shattering artistic norms. This is where the true magic of art lies. Passion. Community. Innovation.
Above all, art is about aspiration. Like every artist, I am a hopeless daydreamer at heart. And like every artist, I am committed to chasing my wild ambitions and making my visions a reality. I know that there are countless obstacles awaiting me in life, but art has taught me that truly anything and everything is possible as long as you never relinquish imagination to reality or lose faith in your dreams.
